Life Updates: September

Hi friends! I’ve been a little MIA lately, and quite honestly it may be because I haven’t had the best of times living in Missouri. I won’t go off on a rant, but it hasn’t been sunshine and rainbows for me here. Lately, I’ve focused more on taking it one day at a time and learning to find joy in the little things while living here. We are nearly halfway through out stay here in Missouri and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t stoked to leave and move back to Chicago in December. With that being said, I’m thankful for the handful of girlfriends I’ve made while living here, they’ve made living here a little more enjoyable for me and I’m sure I will keep those friendships once we leave the state for good.

Today, I thought it would be appropriate for a life update since I haven’t done much here worth writing about besides my first Kansas City Royals game and lots of shopping. Soon, we will be traveling back to Colorado to visit a good friend. We’re taking an extended weekend off from work and plan on being in Colorado from Thursday-Monday! I am so excited for a change of scenery and lots of hiking. Our friend recently bought a condo in in Golden, Colorado so that’s where we’ll be staying. Golden is one of my favorite cities to visit, so I’m glad we’ll be able to spend quality time with our friend there.

While staying in Golden, we plan to check out their newly renovated Clear Creek Trail, Sleeping Elk Trail, and wherever our friend decides to take us! I also found a few breweries in the area that we didn’t get a chance to try last time we visited, so I’m sure we will have plenty to do!

A highlight of the trip will definitely be going to another concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre! Our last experience there was one I will never forget, so I’m sure this time will be nothing less than before, if not better!

Overall, I am excited to say the least and I will be sure to do a post once we get back from Colorado! In October, we plan to visit a few friends in California! We will be there for 8-9 days I believe and spending most of our time in Palm Springs, then spending a couple of days in the LA area with friends.

Thanks for reading, let me know if there’s anything you’re looking forward to!

Xx,
